#04-back: Addressed to Miss W.K. Spencer of Langford, B.C. Message reads “Darling, Midnight in Ontario. Cant sleep. Worried, cold and very dirty. Uniform is gray with dust. I look like an Air Force instead of navy. This is not a regular train but a furlough special. Very crowded. Your moon is shining very bright on a bleak landscape. Wouldn’t trade an acre of B.C. for all of Eastern Canada. Love Les.”
