Dear Muriel

I received your letter yesterday and was certainly glad to hear from you. you must have sent a letter before this which I will probally get later this letter is dated Sept 7.

well I guess you must be having a pretty good time running around but I don’t think you should go out in cars with anything to drink, well maybe your boyfriend has phoned you by now and every thing is all right. I hope Dad has recovered from the Flu has he been sick

well I sure would like to see the dog I hope Dave still has him when I get back. I wish you would send me some picture of him also picture of the family and the house. You talk about going buggy if you have to stay home another saturday night boy if I could be home now I would stay home every night for a year. you want to help mother as much as you can she must be pretty busy with Helen away well I am glad to hear you are still singing the choir and hope you will continue to. we get very little Church where we are.

yes there sure is a lot of bombing here and we are in on some of it we have three or four air raids a day of course they dont always drop’s bombs yes its pretty exciting and its pretty awful you people in Canada don’t realize just what its like and you coulden’t realize it till you were in one we see hundreads of planes every day.

I have not received any word from Gus yet but I sure hope to well sweetem there really isnt much I can tell you about england we are somewhere on the Coast with not many people around it sure is a pretty Country and you can have a pretty good good time I cant very well tell you what we do during the day or name any places or towns we are near as you cant say thing like that in a letter so I think I will have to close as I have run out of gossip hope to hear from you soon
