My Dear Mother:-

So glad to get your letter of January 24th #2 a few days ago, and to know you are all well. I am feeling fine and getting along well. I have far more confidence in myself than I had when I first came out, and I think everything is rosy for us.

You must be getting awful weather, infact it seems to be a hard winter all over Canada. We’ve been getting better weather than I expected but today its been rather blistery. Just like a March day out west for a while this morning

This is somewriting paper just like the burg we’re in I wish you could see me now. They’re threshing alongside me and kicking up a dickens of a row, Pte L Sinclair #460609 A Company 3rd Canadians, “Toronto Regiment” B.E.F. France. All modern impliments too, came out of the ark with Noah It takes them hours what we’d do in minutes.

I got your clippings with your letter also heard from Bert, Edith, Mr & Mrs Lobban and got Colins letter. I’ve a few to answer but its so hard to find a place at times to write, Im afraid my letters will be a little late in arriving. Dont let this interfere with you tho, even if its just a line once a week, or a picture postcard of the “Peg.”

I received those of the church from Mr & Mrs Lobban and they were fine. I was very glad to get them and wish you’d thank them for me. I’ve the addresses they enclosed & may happen alongside them, one never knows. Last fall we were not far from them at times.

Glad to hear Charlie Stuart is on his way home. Sorry I didn’t see him. Transportation in the old country was hard to get during the past months.

Colin was lucky. Hows Clifford coming along? I hope Peggy & Flo are well. What is Stan & Syd doing these nights. I guess [?] have sent in their catalogue and itll soon be time to start digging again. Was Edith telling you off the shock in Montreal. Its a funny thing alright. I wrote uncle Jim & Mr Lobban, also Mrs Chalk & Miss Mason so hope this [?] you as well as can be expected, with love to you all heaps for yourself, I’m as ever your loving son,

Larry
