Dear Uncle Sol. & Aunt Maggie

Received your letter of May 20th and was glad to hear from you.
I got a letter from Orrin and he said you left some Honey Home for Mother to send out to me Thanks for the same it will certinly be good out here.

I am well at present and having my holidays now. we drill for five hours in the morning and have the afternoon off. Was shooting at the ranges today. I read the piece of paper you sent me and it O.K. I think.

My address is Pte. A. C. Smith

B.E.F., France.

I hope the War is over by Fall so we could get Home by Xmas this year. But it may last three years or more yet. I was sorry to hear that Degear got killed over here as we were chums over in England.

By the way if I get Back by Xmas I will show you how to eat Honey and buck-wheat cakes.

Sorry to hear that Steve is not well, But hope this finds you all well as it leaves me feeling fine.

Best Wishes

from Arthur
