Dear Mother -

Just a line to let you know I'm getting on fine as usual, and hoping this will find you all the same at home. You'll be so very busy now with the harvest again. I'd like to be home to help again. Don't forget to tell me how everything is, right down to Flossie; as it sure is good to get your news. If I can't send much, we are seeing some busy times here now too. We are in the trenches now, and I'm getting more acquainted with the mud, as it has been raining lately. But it is rather changing weather. One thing, we have good deep dug-outs to sleep in, and don't keep awake with the noise, and are good and safe. I'm still with CC7G No. 2 Section. I wrote Auntie a letter along with your last one. I hope she has it now. Gramma and all are well, when I last heard, and expect Roland home. Well, Mother dear, I'll have to close now and I'll write you again when I have more time, so love to Marjie and all, from your loving Son,

Frank.
