Dear Mother:-

I haven't got much mail for ages except for a package of clippings 3 or 4 days ago from you. I guess most people think we are on the way home now and don't bother writing.

Did you get my letter of two days ago asking for some money to be cabled immediately you got the let.er In case you didn't, will you cable some money, 6 or 7 pounds to Lloyds Bank, London to my credit. Give my address as 4CDAC Canadians. Then I can get it when I go to London. If by any chance I get a leave earlier than I am expecting and get to England before you have go this. I will cable you from England. I will be able to pay it back as soon as I get home out of the gratuity I receive.

Did you sell all my civilian apparel. If there is any of it left I wish you could have it unpacked when I get home.

I don't think you had better come to Halifax to meet me unless you know that the whole 4th Div Artillery is coming at once. If you hear that the D.A.C is coming I may not be with it. Unless it is to be demolished in Halifax, and that I don't know. However you may see it in Canadian papers.

It is snowing like the dickens today. And I'm on guard tonight. Guard comes every two or three days now.

Well will close now

Lovingly
Ludlow
