Dear Mother: -

I suppose you are looking for a letter every day. Last night I was up to Aunt Florrie's for supper and to-day we had examination again. There is quite a lot of excitement in out batt. to-day as they are taking draft of 60 men to go to the 74 Batt who are going overseas soon. They took the names of those who wished to go but as I was with the signallers they did not get mine. I went around to the orderly room just now but it was too late as the names had gone into headquarters. I wish I could have gone. As I was coming down to the writing room I passed Art Moyer. It seems a long time since I was home last but it will be longer before I am home again. Our blankets were sent to the fumigator to-day. There isn't much on over here now so I guess I will have to say good-by.

Love to All,
Your Son Jay
