Dear Mother,
We have just had dinner and it was very good today. We had fish. I saw the Sargeant about that money and he said you would get it all right although it might be some time yet. I just made out a card this morning so that you will get 20.00 of my pay. I saw Art Moyer the other night in here. I like camp life very well although it was pretty hard the first night on the boards. We have a canteen in our batt were we can milk pie cake and all that stuff. When you send my box be sure to put in apples. I was up to Uncle Dan's last night for supper and think I will go to Aunt Florrie's to-night. I will have four days off at New Years. So that will be fine. I sent a letter to Violet night before last. We have our laundry sent in twice a week and it will cost .25. Is there any skating over there yet. The rinks are open over here. I am getting along fine with my signalling. Love to all.

Your son Jay.

P.S. When you write send it to - Pte J.B. Moyer, 95th Batt Signal corp, EX Camp, Toronto
