Dear Mother:-

I did not get any letters from you last week but I guess I will have one this week. I rec'd one from Mr. Adams and Vera Lamont saying that Frank had been up to see them. She also enclosed a snapshot of the boys who enlisted. In received a parcel of compressed tea from Dad which will be very useful.

We moved billets again yesterday and we are at present in houses but I guess we will soon be moving again. When anyone takes a notion to our billets we just have to let them have them.

I had a letter from Syd last night. He said he is having a pretty good time. He is on the water cart now. Dad seems to be leading a kind of monotonous existence.

By the way Frank is 17 tomorrow. Give him my respects and tell him I would like a photo of him in his extensions or for that matter I would like one of the bunch as I haven't got a picture of any of the family.

I am glad to hear that Harry and Art are doing so well at the munitions job.

We are having pretty good weather now and it has turned warmer.

Well by the time this reaches you it will be pretty close to New Years, so I will give my New Years greetings now.

Love to all.

Jack
