My dear Fern,

I have received all of your letters up to thirty-two. The three parcels Mr Metcalf says he is forwarding to me have not arrived yet but I expect they will be along any day now.

We had our first real snow this morning although it is nearly all gone now. I was down for seven o'clock this morning but it was dud and I arose at 9.30 instead.

When I last heard from Max he had just finished his training and was waiting to be posted somewheres. I don't think you need worry about him, he is pretty well off in the R.N.A.S.

Number one R.N.A.S. squad, the one that Staff Lusk was in used to be on an aerodrome just across the road from us here. They went home just before I came.

I am glad you are putting the car up for the winter as it would only give a lot of trouble. You say that you went two hundred miles in a week and that it was awfully expensive. Shouldn't cost you more than five or six dollars. What price is gas now?

Next morning - Have to leave here early this morning. I will write you tomorrow from where I am.

Love to all,
Gord.
