Dear Mother

Just a few lines hoping you are keeping well. We are not away from here yet and not likely to be for some time by the looks of tings. The Draft has been cancelled and we may go to Prince Albert for the winter, if we do we will come down for Christmas holidays. We are having a fairly good time here although it is not what you could call home. WE have our tent fixed up fine now and Gordon does not know anything about it yet he is on guard and it will be a surprise for him. The [?] are going away tomorrow morning and we went to thier lines and bought a bunch of stuff. We got a big rope mat that covers the tent floor and oil stove and a lamp so that when Gordon comes home to-night he will think he is in the wrong tent. WE are having dandy weather down here a regular Indian Summer. I suppose Gordon had told you about he extra hours every night. I have tried to get some more of those photos but the fellow is so busy that He won't take the trouble to hunt up the plate. This outfit is sure done up now they just look like a bunch of recruits on the Parade Ground. I guess you thought that we were out of here by now but it looks as if we may be here for two or three weeks yet. The main Street down town in the camp looks pretty deserted now every day some place goes out of Business. I guess it will be as I always have said since I came here that there will only be the Station Agent left to bid us good by when we go away Well I think that is all for now Give my love to my little Sisters and remember me to Charlie & Dad and best love to you
