Letter

Received your welcome letter yesterday. It was sent to the trenches and subsequently returned to London. I am sending you a few post cards of London, which will give you some idea of what it is like. I was wounded on October 7th and am in bed yet, but hope to be up in a few days, my wounds are nearly all healed. I hope to be able to return to the trenches and get another chance at the Germans. During the fourteen days that I was in there I fired over 1,000 rounds of ammunition.
My address is: Pte. Wilfred Throop, Alexander Ward, East Edmonton Military Hospital, London, England.
