My Dear sister

I am sorry to say that is nearly two weeks since I last wrote to you, but will try and not let it happen again. I have not yet been able to see the paymaster about that remittance but will try to right away. The rainy weather has set in now for the winter I expect. I expect the frosts will be on out there now. It gets rather chilly here at nights, but we manage alright so long as we can keep dry. I hope you all there at home are feeling in the best of health, as it leaves me at present. How are Aunt Frank's folks at Kingston. I have not heard from them for a dog's age. How is Uncle Will and Aunt Annie. I hope they are all O.K. too. What do you intend doing this holloween. I don't think I will hide Fritz's gate this year. I get a letter from Marion about once per week. She sure writes cheering letters. She is attending Business college at present. She would like to hear from you also. Well there is really no news to tell you of, that would interest you. France is as muddy as ever, and there is still a big war on. That is about the only olds there is. Well cheer up sister and I will have all the more to tell you when I get back, if I do not tell you everything now. I saw my partner the other day, and he is O.K. still. I would like to have a picture of yours too. Marion would be just delighted to have one of you. Well love to all. I remain as ever XXXX
