Dear Sir:
Your kind and thoughtful note of November 5th, and the much appreciated tobacco reached me safely some days ago, and needless to say I was delighted to receive both. Every one here in our Battery is enjoying the best of health and I trust you are faring likewise. This note is but a brief reply, yet I am deeply impressed by your thoughtfulness and thank you very much.
