Sat. June 1 -
In charge of guard. Rifles to clean. Turnout was satisfactory so a half-holiday in p.m. Paid in forenoon. Am not well in p.m. & evening. My throat is sore & am feverish. C & E subs best on inspection win prize money of 200 francs.
