Dearest Father:

Received your letter last night which I was very glad to get. I also had one from John and Gower yours was written May 7. and Gows 17th.

I came up to the Batt a few days ago don't know when we go in to the trenches don't think it will be long

We were on Church Parade this A.M. it has been kind of quiet on the fronts this while back but it was pretty heavy a couple of nights ago. heavy as I want to hear. Gower says Ken has been sick hope he is better by this time I would sure like to see your mare I think I could give her some exercise If you have her when I get back I will tell you what I think of her. How does the Colt and the mare match up; are they good mates? I thought you sold old Jim

We have had dandy weather for nearly two months warm enough for comfort, too warm some days.

Munroe is amoung the lucky ones back in England, but I would just as soon he here in good health as long as we get back when the war is over.

I have been sleeping with Harry and Spence and you will what I caught, little Bugs not very bad yet. They make a great army, well this is not a very interesting letter but there is not much to write about here, at least we can't write all we know, or would like to

Spence is writting to Jessie so I will put this scribble in with it. I guess this is all for this time. hoping to hear from you soon. with Lots of Love to all
