My Dear Father,

Just a few lines tonight in answer to your letter read to-day Dated June 23rd was awfully glad to get it as I have not heard from any of you for some time. You know that I am always glad to get your letters. I think there were some letters lost the one telling me about Barney getting hurt I never got. I got the box of choc. yesterday I sure enjoyed them and think the rest of the boys did.

No I have never seen John Stewart since I came over here I know where he is but have never been handy enough to go and see him.

Well Frost is a thing we are not bothered with very much. in fact none after the first of March it has been kind of wet this last day or two but is [?] for tonight.

I cannot locate those things you bought unless its in the Branch.

Is George Fisher still in the army? Did you get a good Price for the logs you got off of the land you bought you got a good many I suppose you had to Pay quite a price for the land.

There surely is much news to write. I see by the paper that W.K. McCurdy is in the England and will likely come to France. Premier Borden was here a few days ago. I guess I have written to Jessie and told her all there is to write about will say bye bye with lots of love

Loving Son Donald

Will put this with Jessie's
