Dear Father,

Hear I am again just a few lines to tell you I am still here at the base expect to be for a while longer but we never can tell when we are to move. This is Sunday afternoon and it has been a very fine day it has been fine weather ever since we came over here one week today. We never had that much fine weather in England. I guess they have had a pretty cold winter here. Some of the boys came down the line the other day I suppose you have heard from Spence since he was in that awful fight I guess it was fierce I guess they will remember it for a while. Well how are you all at home I suppose it will be a while befor I get any mail. I did tell you that Tobie Stuart is at this camp the Hospital is just across the road but they wont let us go over I tried last night am going to try again to see him. Dr. McKinnon is there also. I wish I could talk French. We were talking to some Germans the other day one fellow said the war would end next month and another said one more year they say the British have too heavy guns and use too much steel. I hope the first one is right long as I see the front for a while I guess I will have lots of time for that yet.

Well I must close with lots of Love to all
Aff Son Don

Did you get those pictures of mother yet?
