Bramshott Camp
April 13, 1917

Dearest Jessie and all,

Just a few lines tonight I received your nice letter last night Glad you got your songs wish I could get some more to send you but I don't know just how long I will be in this camp. I am on a draft for France which we expect to go befor many days we will be inspected tomorrow by the Brigadier we are liable to roll out any time after that of course I may not go there are too many on now but I hope to go this time to get back with the boys I will write as soon as I get over. Gow doesn't know how to appreciate a party I guess if I had a chance to go to Hanna I would sure go, but I wouldn't know how to act but I would soon get on to it. You asked me how much I weighed I don't know just how much I weigh now but I think about 155. I am sending you a few more snaps tonight they are not of to much, kind of dark, but you might know the kid against the hut. If you don't let me know and I will tell you. We had a good March but April has been rotton not much spring about it rain and snow most every day its nice that John is going to Upp. Musq. I had a letter from Sadie yesterday. She didn't say anything about Hiel getting a commission is he really? well if they keep up the good work he will never see the front but we never know we never thought it would last this long. So Ira Murchy was turned down it is always the big fellow that gets out of it. Mrs John Reids baby is the wrong sex for war times.

It is raining in good shape to-night I have two more letters to answer tonight and I think I had better stop this for tonight I will write Father when I get to France if I go if not I will write from here.

With lots of Love to all
Aff Bro Donald.

P.S.
add my letter too care of Army P.O. London. Put my name on it.
