My Dear Little Sisters,–

Well girls I have finally scored a seven days leave and am now in Glasgow, Scotland. I came on leave with another Q.O.R. of C. from our Co. We arrived in Glasgow about 2 days ago after a H---- of a night spent on the train from London, we sat up all the way for practically 12 hrs. The last 4 or 5 hrs. weren’t as bad as the first part because a lovely Scotch lassie from Glasgow sat down beside me and began to tell me her whole life history.

Scotland is really quite the place, the people here really use us swell. I am staying at a Canadian Overseas Club. It is run by a group of ladies that volounteer their services.

Oh yes since I have been here I met a Scotch girl that is really nice. She is practically as nice as the Canadian women (but not quite.) She introduced me to her people and asked me to spend the rest of my leave at their home. I haven’t decided whether I will or not. Every girl you bump into wants to go to Canada so it seems.

I took the Lock Lomon and Ben Lomon tour yesterday afternoon. I got some pictures of them that I will send along later. It was all quite interesting.

Oh yes I received 600 cigarettes from Dad and 300 from Frances just before I came on leave so I am well supplied right now. Well girls time and space is getting short so I’ll say “so long” for now and I hope you all have a really Merry Christmas.

Big brother
Lloyd
