Receives High Award

Of the R.C.N.V.R., who was re­cently awarded the Distinguished Service Medal, according to word received by his wife, Wanda, 1807 Oak Bay Avenue. Now serving off the coast of France, C.O.A. Gill enlisted in 1939. He was born and educated in Victoria and prior to enlistment operated his own lock­ smith business here. W.A. Gill, his father, resides at Esquimalt.
