9 A.M.
Killarney 4/8/17

My Dear Mother,

Here we are in this most beautiful spot and enjoying it to the full. I left Eastbourne, with two of the other

(Started this at breakfast, while waiting to be served, but it is now 6 P.M.)

boys at 5.30 P.M. Thursday. We made good time to London & from there to Holyhead, where we took a boat, about 3 A.M. landing in Dublin about 6 A.M. or 7 A.M. We stayed in Dublin till 3 P.M. & took the train for here, hearing it is a very fine place. The trip is long & tedious by train but we arrived safely about 10 P.M. From Dublin down, is more like Ontario, than anything I have seen here (or England). There are several trips out of this place. We left about 10 A.M. to-day, by lake, which took us as far into the hills as it could travel (about nine miles, here took ponies, which carried us thro the Dunlone gap a rocky pass of about eight or nine miles. Then took to the row boat, thro the Killarney Lakes, a distance of fourteen miles the scenery is the most beautiful you can imagine, which I will prove later if I am successful. The light, while varying, has been good for the work, no strong shadows nor sunshine just diffused light.

Nine of us from the hotel, made the trip and among the number, two Canadian Nurses. One from Toronto & the other from N. Falls. They are in the Queen Alex. – Nursing Service, in Nottingham. An Imperial service.

To-morrow, the weather being fine, we will take one or two shorter trips, then on to Blaney, Cork and Queenstown, if we can get all this in.

It is nearly dinner time, so I must away.

Lovingly,
Worth.
