Dear Jessie and Stuart - I think that I wrote you some time ago saying that I expected to go to France soon. Well here I am and although I cannot tell you just where I am stationed It is in France someplace.

We had a splendid trip here and I enjoyed it fine. Our hardships so far have been nil and we continue to fare sumptuously.

I rather like travel so far as I have seen It. Of course the vegetation is quite different from that of Canada and also quite different from that of England. All these things tend to keep that vague spirit of curiosity turned up. Really I have had so many changes of late that I could not begin to tell you of them were I speaking to you, much less can I do so In a letter.

We are living in tents here (10 in our tent) and we are quite comfortable. Of course It is not quite as (?) as living in huts but it is a little more private and we will have just as good a time so long as the weather is dry. We are not sure yet when we will proceed to the front as yet but we expect that It may be tomorrow or day after. I am feeling in good form except that one of my arches (foot arch) has bothered me some of late. I think I will show it to the Dr. tomorrow and perhaps he can bind It up for me. Just do not mention this to the people at home. I will write soon again Jessie when I will have more to tell you.

I will be expecting some mail soon for I was mail pretty regular the week before I left Shorncliffe. Your brother Leslie / I write soon
