SAW ZEPPELIN RAID
Pte. Frank McCoy Writes from Bramshott Camp

The following extracts are taken from a letter recently written by Pte. Frank McCoy, who is now in England with the 121st Battalion:

“We have been here about six weeks now, and, believe me, we have been working hard at drill ever since we came here, – mostly route marches, bayonet drill and range shooting. You will know they are anxious to get us ready for the front when we work all day Saturday and Sunday. The drill is very interesting just the same and is all for our own good. Once in a while we get a little excitement – when there is a zeppelin raid. I was in London when Lieut. Robinson brought one down. It was a great sight. The last one brought down passed over our camp, and we could see it falling.

“Say, there is quite a few Ladysmith boys here and you would oblige us all by sending The Chronicle. We would like to get the news of our home town.

“All the soldiers in Bramshott camps had votes and voted.”
