My darling wife,

Since my last letter I have received two letters from you one enclosing the two letters, one from Blod & Glas, was very sorry to hear of Blod's illness, I do hope she will be able to take up her training again, shouldn't wonder but that a change to the coast would do her a world of good. In your other letter you say something about not leaving for here until the New Year, well sweetheart I do hope you wont think I am hurrying you but great Scott, I certainly expect you can get here by Christmas.

Well dearie have not much news am still carrying on Musketry, your letters are a great treat though, you always were a good letter writer, always Merry & Bright that's what should be our motto during these stirring times. No doubt you will be in the middle of your arrangments [sic] for coming over, or more probably at the end of them, I hope so, am looking forward to our reunion. Love to all on the farm, fondest love to Eric, Gwladys, Frank & your dear self.
