Dear Garnet:-

As this is Sunday afternoon I thought I would scratch you a few lines, as I usually try and write home once a week.

I don't know what I am going to put in this letter as there is nothing doing around here now of any importance. I finished my course in telephony last Friday when we had our exam. I will enclose the paper so you can see what it was about. I don't expect I made very much on it, and am not caring a great deal.

We have fellows in this hut , that is always up to some devilment, from the time he gets up in the morning till night. To-day he got a wheel and that belongs to one of the fellows in the hut. He got it and started riding around inside the hut, circling around among the beds. He was wheeling up the centre of the room and a stick which was laying on the floor got caught in the gear and maybe he didn't get a sudden surprise.

Say have you over heard anything about that assigned pay yet. It had ought to soon be showing up. I got a little pail of cookies from May a few days ago, that is the third box I have got since we came over. Alf. Langstaff is working in the post office of the 156 now and I expect he will be there permanently.

Well I guess I will close now as there isn't any more news to write. Hoping you are all well. I am feeeling fine now. Write often

Jim
