Dear Mother & Father,

It is Sunday again and I have just finished dinner. I came up here about 11.0 am and have been sitting around for a couple of hours. Well my three days holidays are just about up. I have to go back to work tomorrow morning. The last couple of days I have been getting all the fresh air and exercise possible. I have walked miles around London and it has been beneficial for I feel a great deal better. For all that I wish I could have about two weeks more so I could get browned up a little. I will be glad when it is all over and I can turn up my sleeves and go got a good paddle on the Bay or Little Lake.

The last couple of days the weather has been rather fine but mostly too cold to go around without your coat. I will be glad when the real fine weather comes and we can roam around without our coats.

I am still in London but dear knows for how long as a matter of fact our day they tell you that you will have to go back to your unit and the next day they tell you that you are indispensable and will not be sent back. So really I don’t think they know not what they are going to do. They can send me back just as soon as the like for I have got so I don’t dare what they do with me. The fact is that I am fed up and perhaps a change would be the best thing for me. I have always tried to do my best up here and will still do it as long as I can hang it out. The hours are too long and beside we have to work under electric light all day that alone is enough to get any sue

I have not heard from any of the Boys lately as a matter of fact I think I owe nearly all letters and I never find enough time to write.

Well I will close, hoping you are all well.

Your loving Son.

Alfred
