FRENCH SURGEON'S SIGNIFICANT WORDS.

The Women's Patriotic Corps have received the following letter, which speaks for itself'

Docteur de Gerin, Surgeon to the Val de Grace Military Hospital, Paris, January 26th, 1918.
President of Women's Patriotic Corps, Cobourg.

Madam:
The brave soldiers of France thank you for the magnificent gift of warm socks sent them, and it was a most welcome Christmas in the cold days of winter.

I am delighted to be the intermediary between our magnificent boys and your noble women whose work is thoroughly appreciated by all who have had the chance to receive one pair of the socks.
Please convey to all the assurance that nothing can keep the Entente from winning the war.
Very truly,
Dr. DE GERIN.
