Gunner VICTOR CLIMO in writing to Miss Edith Patterson from 'Somewhere In France says:

Just a few lines to let you know that I received the parcel which the Methodist Church sent. I found your name on a nice little greeting card. I am sure it is very kind of you people to remember the boys out here and you do not know how much we appreciate the kindness. 'The Cobourg Mission Band. I remember when I used to go the Mission Band and Mrs. W.H. Hopper was in charge of it. This letter will not probably reach you before Christmas so I hope you will have a happy New Year. I do not know how soon we will come back, but we all hope to see the end of this terrible war soon.
