Dearest Mother

I did not rec your letter this week, But I guess I will get two next week, I am going up to Scotland Tuesday evening, am going to Edinburgh for two or three days, and then am coming back here to have the rest of my six day in bed and have a good rest, you will have to excuse this letter as I am sitting in the dinning room. & every body is talking so hardly know what I am Writing about, I was up to see Stokey last evening am going up to see Mrs Jones house to tea today, every thing is about the same here Working every day, having been staying in house nearly every evening this week, Weather has been so bad. We Play and every night, and have a very nice time, I will write you a nice long letter after I have been to Scotland & let you know what I think of it. Must close now as every body is talking at once,
