Letter

Friday, August 24th.

Mails are slow, haven't had a line from home or England. I was flying this morning, but not for long, as I ran into clouds at 1700 ft. and a gale was blowing so I came down. The bumps were ferocious and landing extremely difficult.

Friday, 10.30 P.M.

Am very tired and only sending this line to say I'm very well.

Was up today, but very "dud" at 1700 so I came down. Was "standing by" for a show last night but weather bad, so "washed out."

Not a line of mail from anyone so far. Hoping for letters tomorrow.

Am very happy here (that is, happy as possible in this war) and like the crowd very well. Sure is the crack Squadron.
