You asked me what our pilot being Commander Biddell was like: well here he is standing with me at Canton Island in the South Pacific with our Liberator in the background being refilled with gasoline.  Willie Biddell had flown Winston Churchill to Moscow and Lord Mountbatten to China as well as many other important people:  he is the test pilot in Transport Command today & an Extremely nice fellow: yes he’s young to be a Wing Co – about 28!
