Dear Mr. Irwin

Here we are again back again in hospital & doing fine. Had just got back to the boys in France when this last affair started & for casualties it caps anything I ever saw.

I got a shrapnel bullet-clean through shoulder & my badge saved it from going through my neck, so I am once more on my back for a week or two, still I am doing fine & hope to have another crack at Fritz in the future.
