Dearest Mother,

Just a few lines to let you know Im O.K. in the best of health but very very busy. Received Marions letter a few days ago and will[?] be writing soon.  Was very sorry to hear of Dave Billings and Gordon McKibbon. I had not heard of either before but thought that Gordon would be alright.

Hope to see Joe Dalziel some of these days. He cannot be far away but your imagination cannot begin to realize what a scene of activity this is and perhaps I shall miss him but will try.
