famous Toronto Canoe Club canoeist, who has been killed in action. While a member of the Toronto Canoe Club he won the Dominion Day regatta single-blade championship on his first attempt at racing, and then, with Elliott for a partner, won the Canadian tandem championship a number of years. He also won the Bailey life membership of the Toronto Canoe Club, in addition to many other prizes at different regattas.
