Dear Mr. Irwin.
Here we are again thought I would write & see how Norwood & its folks are progressing.
Many thanks indeed for the Register, which I receive each week, I find it very interesting.
Do not seem to run into any of the Norwood boys at all although I enquire after them often.
Was up before a medical board today & asked to be given another trip to France, but they just laughed at me & told me they wanted fit men, so I guess I have to take a back seat.
Am trying very hard to get a chance in one of the tanks, may strike lucky.
Well I begin to yearn for a sight of the small town of Norwood, begin to forget what it’s like.
Christmas is drawing near now & I guess you are all getting ready for things.
Think I will write & see if I cannot get a three months leave for Canada. some seem to get it & I have a perfectly clean sheet in every way, so there is no reason why I shouldn’t.
Did you go to the hunt & what luck did you have?
Please remember me to the folks I know & with all good wishes to yourself & Mrs Irwin & family I remain sincerely yours
Walter T. Robus.
