Dear Marjorie,
I have been intending to write to you before but have been very busy. Our guns are up a piece from us now so we have to make the trip back each day consequently we do not have so much time to ourselves. I am on duty up at the guns every other night and every other afternoon and morning alternating. The weather is fine for the most part, we are not having much rain. Fair days and better fighting days on account of clear observation being fortunate but unfortunately Fritz has the same advantage and believe me he makes the best of it. We have had some casualties, none of them very serious though, although some of the fellows have got blisters out of them - lucky boys. We have not had a real Canadian mail for ages but look forward to one soon. I will be disappointed if I do not get at least one letter from you. I suppose your school will be over soon and you will be getting home for the summer won't you? I saw grant last night, he was passing by us going up with ammunition so I was not able to have much of a visit with him. He looks fine and has not changed in appearance much. This letter is short but there is not much to tell. Every day is alike perhaps a few may be slightly more exciting than others. There is a possibility of some of us going back to a rest camp for a few days soon. I hope I am one of the lucky ones, not that I feel that I need a rest, but it will be a change. Write often Marjorie. I am always looking for your letters. Remember me to Grace and the rest.

Yours with love
Gordon
