Dear Marjorie:
We arrived here safely after our journey. I don't know whether I told you that we had changed our abode so will write in order to give our present address. I tell you it seemed nice to get back for one reason, that is the weather. It has been great down here - nice, cool and comfortable, at present I have two sweaters on. Most of the fellows have attended church parade this morning. I had my second inoculation on the day after I arrived back, as we have 48 hours off afterwards we are not obliged to attend any parade within that time. As they are all going to the English Church I don't feel that I am missing much. I don't know how long we'll be here, we expect to be ready to leave in two or three weeks but our information is very vague. I received a letter from Dad - first one for about five months. He doesn't look at my going in the same light as I do, but he is sorry he couldn't see me before I go over, however hopes that I can make him a good long visit after I get back. Guess I'll go farming with him. There was quite a crowd down at the station in Sherbrooke to see us off, most of the fellows people being there. Ella was down, also my aunts etc. Well there isn't much news to tell. I haven't been back long enough for any to accumulate.
Write whenever you have time Marjorie as I will be glad to hear from you.
Your sincere friend
Gordon
