Rose early and prepared for trip to Lewis Gun School. Packed up. Left Chata de La Haie at 10:30 AM by Limber with Batman Claughton and Driver. Rode about 8 kilos to AUBINEY. Waited until 4:30 on train. Had lunch at 12:30. Dreary day. Rained nearly all day and was cold. Travelled 1st class French Passenger Train to ETAPLES. Went to YMCA for evening and night. Slept on small cots three in depth in small room but had good rest.
