Friday September 29, 1916
The rest of last night and today doing stretcher-bearer and guide work. There were some dangerous stretcher cases but we got all the poor fellows out, and during today, we got them farther out to a safer place. Where I am the place is persistently shelled. I'll take my chances and try to get out.
