Dear Granma + All

This will be the last letter from this address for some time unless the unexpected happens, as I am on a Draft to the 7th Battalion, we are to leave in a few hours, our kits are all packed have been inspected, examined, and generally gone over, we were told to go and write letters if we had anyone to write too, seeing that I have a dozen or so shall have to make them short, will try and let you dear sometimes how the mud agrees with me, If you write me to the,-
