Diary

28th
Left camp at 8 A.M. Passed road to Bothas' Pass. Passed Majubor Hill & Laings Nek. Had dinner at Charlestown. About 6 inches of red dust on the road. Lots of dead mules & horses along the road. Scouting along each side of the road. Camped at Volkrust for the night. Had good supper for 2s 6d in the station.
