FOUR OF FAMILY SERVING EMPIRE

The father and three sons of the family of Mrs. Arthur Green, of this city, are serving the colors in this war. The father, Warrant-Officer A.E. Green, is a drill instructor in Nottingham, England, having been for some time with the 188th Royal Field Artillery Brigade, two of the sons are at the front in different battalions, both having recently been wounded within a few days of each other, and the third is a member of the 88th Battalion in preparation for being sent to the front.

Pte. Victor Green joined the 88th Fusiliers in September, 1914, leaving here with the 30th Battalion. He was transferred to the 7th Battalion for service at the front and was wounded on January 28 of this year.

Pte. Walter Green was born in India. He joined the 88th Fusiliers early in 1915 and left Victoria with the 48th Battalion from which unit he was subsequently transferred to the 10th Battalion. He was a member of the stretcher bearers platoon and was wounded on January 9 last, only 22 days previous to the injury received by his brother Victor.

Lce.-Cpl. Arthur Green is a memeber of the 88th Battalion, which is still in the city.
