Dear Kid:

Received two parcels from you yesterday. The candy from [?] and the parcel containing the boys underclothing (size 40) also some letters from you people.

Got up at 4 ack emma this morning to do a show but at 4.30 it started to get dud and we never got off. I went back and had five hours more sleep and just finished my second breakfast.

We had a day off last Friday and the C.O. the E.O. the A.O. and a chap McQuistam[?] and myself fizzed off in the C.O's touring car to a famous summer resort on the coast for the day. Tres bing[?].

Haven't been doing very much lately as the weather has been quite dud. Very windy and cloudy. More like March. However I don't care because we will make up for it when the good weather comes back again.

I am glad to hear that you have reached Grimsby again. At least I suppose you will be there by now.

Thanks awfully much for the parcels old thing. They are certainly fine. I suppose you will be seeing aeroplanes every day now Cavorting around the waters edge.

I have had only one letter from Max since I returned from leave. I hope he is all right as usual.

I am second for H.E. here now. D.P. is first and he is on leave now and I would not be surprised if he did not come back and that would mean not very much longer for me as I have done over seven month here now.
