My dear sister

I wrote you last Sunday with all the news I cold father, but I forgot all about the Gloves and socks. I never gave the gloves to anybody but I might have left them some where but I don't remember anything about them only I missed them awhile before I left. Why were you asking about them; I don't wear the Harris tweed suit at all but how ever if you are not busy I would use a pair of long heavy socks you don't need to bother about the tops only make them long and as heavy as possible.

The climate here now is very dry and terrible cold far colder than Clavet but any I am standing it allright so far. I had to buy a lot of heavy clothing the clothe I had were to light for the winter here, a fellow will have to wear two pair of heavy socks and two pair of shoes of course a fellow can keep the rest of his body warm working. The work here is pretty hard but we get lots of all kinds as eat.

How is everything going on this winter anything like last winter any card playing going on in the long nights Well I have no more to say at present hoping that you are all well as leaves me the same hoping to hear from you soon
With love to all

Yours devoted brother
