My dear Sister

I got your letter some few days ago which I was quite glad to hear so many interesting news. I said in my last letter to you, that this letter would contain the arrangements towards my visit to Glasgow. Now everything is changed since I wrote you last. I can onely get 6 days at most, so you can guess it will keep me flying all the time and to nights on the road and no time to spend in Glasgow and onely two days at home. In case this is my last chance for leave I am going to go. I cant give any definite idea when I will arrive, but Ill try my level best to be at home on Xmas night I wrote John and Alick asking them to try and be at home at the same time, so we all might have a chance to meet again which I am longly looking forward to.

I expect to travel by Edinburgh and pick up alick there is he can get away. I had a letter from him at Skegness saying he was going to Edinburgh and he had a poor chance of getting away, but I wrote him saying I was going that way and to try again and get away.

About meeting us in Lochmaddy we will arrive from Edinburgh or Oban. Its too bad I cant get longer leave but will try and make the best of the few hours weel be together.
You can tell father when I get home weel have a talk over some things he mentioned in his letter and that Ill try and do everything I can for the benefit of the household.

Now Mary I must come to a close with kindest regards to every body hoping to see you all soon.

Yours devoted Brother
Ewen.
