Dear Sister

I thought I would write you a note tonight just before we leave. We will be in France before you get this. I think the time is finished for big boxes now as we will be moving so much. Please do not let them send anything expensive for Xmas in the way of clothes or card as it is impossible to keep them. How is little Margarett getting along. I hope she is getting over being scared for people. I had a letter from Jack - he is getting along fine. How is Kit getting along at the munitions works. I suppose he must have a good job there. I think that is a few lines to you all before I leave. I hope father is feeling better of his cold. You all seem to leave him out of your letters. I will close now hoping this finds you all well as it leaves me in the best of health.

Your Loving Bro

Dave
