Dear Sister

Just a few lines in answer to you letter which I received a couple of days ago. It was waiting for me when I got back off leave. The violets were fine I sent a letter & a P.C. from Brighton so you ought to get them before this letter arrives. I had four days leave but it was only a walking pass so I could in go to see any of our relatives. I had as good a time as possible in Brighton though so I didn't do bad. I went & got A good bed to start with so I could enjoy a good sleep for a few rights there was four of us together. We got our picture take I'm sending one what do you think of it. One of them is from Nanaimo. The fellow standing up in the middle. His name is Richardson. The others are strangers to you. One from Victoria and one from Merrit. We are all in the same hut here. But we will beseparated when we move to France. Only Richardson & I will be together we are going to the 7th Btn. We are on draft now but I don't think we will leave for a week or more yet. I hear from Aunt Jim and the rest often. Cousin Mary is nearly better again now. She has been sick for quitea while. If any money is sent from home send it to Aunt Jim. I left what money I had to spare with her then I can draw it quick when I need it. I was glad mother enjoyed her trip to the coast. Ill bet sonny had a good time. It was too bad Dad didn't get down with the rest of you.

Mother was wanting to know if the parcels got here OK. I have got 3 so far. The last one was the one with the Talcum powder in. I told you before what happened to it. I can last Talcum yet I didn't through any away you can bet. Well Hannah I haven't much news at present but will write later. I will close now with love to all.
