Dear Joe

Just a line or two, hoping this finds you all well. I got your letter the other day, and (am) glad that you are making out fine at home. I suppose you will be getting it very cold about this time. It's just cold enough here, and we had a nice fall of snow this morning, so it looks something like home. Well, some of those lads seem to have got it in the neck over the 'conscription, don't they? But the most of them have nothing to hold them. I'd like to see some of those Douks called up. Well Marjie was telling me that she was busy practicing for the Xmas tree, but it will be over now. But I hope you will all have had a good time. I'm looking forward to some pictures soon, tell Marjie, since she got the camera. I also heard all about that nice teacher you took home. Tell her I know a boy here that knows them well, as he is from Gladstone, but she'll have to guess at the name as the censor put the kibosh on a letter I wrote some time ago. Well Joe, I must close now, so with love to all at home, your aff Bro
