With further reference to the regretted death of the late Private Ellis, attached hereto please find a report which contains all the available information relative to his burial. also enclosed is a photograph of his grave in Villers Station Military Cemetery, France. Owing to the amount of work involved in registering and marking the graves of soldiers who died overseas, it has been found impossible to avoid errors in the inscription on the temporary markers erected. It is quite possible that such an error appears in this photograph, if so, the error will be corrected in due course, but no amending action can be taken until a permanent memorial is erected
